Regents Park Time Bank – Our Story of Change. Developed in partnership with Camden and Rocket Science.
The residents we target and reach:
- Residents in Regents Park Ward
- Families with children under 12 years old
- Deprivation and poor health are significant issues
- 44.6% of children are living in poverty
The experiences of our target group:
- People with ESOL / a language barrier
- People from diverse backgrounds
- People on low incomes
- People experiencing isolation
- People in overcrowded housing
- Children with SEND needs
The support, resources and activities we offer:
- Activities are co-produced with time bank members to connect people to each other and build relationships, knowledge and skills
- Play groups, coffee mornings, community meals and school-holiday activity programmes
- Volunteering opportunities
- Mentoring, buddying and befriending opportunities
- Skills-exchange projects such as clothes repair, origami and board-game workshops
- Information and knowledge exchanged in workshops
- Sign-posting to specialist services
How residents co-design and give feedback:
- Activities are co-produced with time bank members around trips, meals and activities they'd like to do
- Families contribute ideas for future activities at community meals using post-its
- Surveys with families, including a mid-way WhatsApp poll
- Annual surveys with families for funders, using key funder outcomes
The changes residents experience as a result of our support:
- People gain improved skills across a broad range of areas
- People feel more connected to others
- People feel a greater sense of belonging to their local community
- People build trusting relationships with others from different backgrounds
- People have better knowledge about where to get support
- Parents have greater opportunities for bonding with their children
- People experience improved wellbeing
- People experience more fun and enjoyment
