Monthly Community Lunches Together
RPTB joined forces with several local agencies (coordinated by Fitzrovia Youth in Action) to deliver a coordinated and joint Cost of Living initiative with the aims of tackling food poverty and to develop more sustainable longer-term solutions eg. Setting up food coops. Our role, following local consultations, is to deliver monthly Community Meals on Sundays which can often be a lonely time for both young and old on low income and experiencing social and economic isolation. Recently, the borough was found to be the loneliness place in the country despite its plethora of local organisations and cosmopolitan air. These events have been well attended and have provided good opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to meet and receive general advice and signposting support .
