Regents Park Nature Roadshow

Drop-in activities for local families, Clues were solved on a spooky Halloween-inspired nature detective trail. A closer look was possible at nature specimens at a mini museum. We got creative with wild crafts and had fun with interactive nature-inspired games! Activities were suitable for all ages, including adults! Activities included a mini museum with nests, insects and replica bird skulls, spider-themed crafts, wildlife quizzes, story-telling and an exciting seasonal trail. Thank you to the Royal Parks Team!

The Spooky Science experiments with Vicky Lockwood from www.smellsandbangsscience.co.uk included: Popping canister- (acid /base reaction-producing carbon dioxide under pressure). Exploding pumpkin (elephant toothpaste Experiment)-(decomposition of hydrogen peroxide – using yeast as a catalyst) Plasma lightning bulb Bubbling witches cauldron (acid/base reaction-producing carbon dioxide gas) Balancing bat magic genie- (decomposition reaction of hydrogen peroxide-using manganese peroxide as a catalyst))Airzooker blaster– invisible vortex of air!

The Grand Finale to our Halloween-themed day of activities involved very loud and energetic party games with great prizes given to children taking part in the fancy dress competition, Well Done!
