We are pleased to share our March 2026 newsletter, including updates on our Play in the Park Project with London Play and the Royal Parks Team, and the latest news from our Little Fingers Under 5s Play Group.
Fiona, Mark and Panda came from London Play. Children shared ideas, marking trials and routes, suggestions for new activities and places they wanted to explore in the park. They also made their own Explorers Club Badge!
We had a lovely community meal of Biriyani, chickpea curry, samosas, salad and fruit for dessert. Thank you to Marina our wonderful cook, Aminata and Rehana for helping and Hemeret for the tasty sweet cake.

We celebrated Eid 26th March at Little Fingers with Hafsa from Kindle Corner reading traditional EID stories. The children made lovely arts and crafts objects to take home.
We celebrated NOWRUZ on the 19th March with Aruzo reading Persian fairy tales. As it was still Ramadan we were only able to look at photos of traditional foods.
Little Fingers Progress Report (26/03/26)
- 9 play group sessions average attendance 12
- 18 parents registered with 22 children
- Children ages range from 4 months to 3 years
- 10 parents registered were new members
- 1 trip with 4 parents to the Sobell centre
- 6 themed events eg. Chinese New Year
- All Play Group workers are local residents
- 2 additional unregistered parents
- 9 signposting referrals undertaken by family worker
